"Miksang taught me that when we see clearly, the ordinary bursts into the extraordinary. This playful yet profound practice has reshaped the way I relate to the world." Tejumo Ogouma
Born into a family of travelers, my childhood was a celebration of bright colors and snapshots of fascinating places. Cameras weren’t just tools—they were my window to the world. I vividly remember the thrill of exploring Moscow with my camera in the late ’80s, even if finding a place to develop those films was a mini-adventure in itself!
As I grew up, my passion for exploring the world through a camera took a
backseat—until a transformative moment during my meditation classes. One teacher sparked an idea that would change everything: integrating meditation into daily life could be as simple and profound as practicing a contemplative art form—be it Miksang, Ikebana, Haiku or Calligraphy. Over the years, I’ve heard similar insights from Watanabe Sensei, Henry Chapin, and Stéphane Bédard.
Then came the day I attended an introductory Miksang course by John MacQuade in Ottawa. Suddenly, everything clicked! I rediscovered the joy of seeing the world with fresh, unclouded eyes.
Miksang taught me that when we see clearly, the ordinary bursts into the extraordinary. This playful yet profound practice has reshaped the way I relate
to the world.
