The Art and Practice of Contemplative Photography (In-Person)

May 13 @ 6:30 pm - June 3 @ 8:00 pm

In Contemplative Photographer, the camera is viewed as an extension of a person’s
heart and mind and the resulting photographs as a visual, and highly personal, diary of
experience and creative expression.

Where traditional photography focuses on subject and technique, Contemplative Photography teaches you to slow down, focus your attention and connect with the world of your senses.

A contemplative approach to photography provides participants with the opportunity to use what they see as an anchor, in much the say way we use our breath when sitting in formal meditation.

This class will also include a photo walk through downtown Winston-Salem. Photo
walks can provide a source of inspiration and be a time of learning new techniques and
sharing your own knowledge and ideas with class participants.

This class is great for photographers, artists at heart, or the curious wanting to explore
the symbiotic relationship between contemplative practice and photography. You can
use whatever camera that is available to you, including your cell phone.
